Annual Model UNESCO Mongolia conference will be held on 18th of November. The conference is being organized by the United Nations Youth Advisory Panel in partnership with Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO and UNESCO Beijing Office.

The Model UNESCO Mongolia (MUM) was first organized in 2015 by the UN Youth Advisory Panel in Mongolia (UNYAP) and UNESCO National Commission in partnership with the UNESCO Beijing Office in commemoration of UNESCO’s 70th Anniversary.

MUM is a simulation of the UNESCO general conference in which young people are assigned to represent a country and play the role of Permanent Delegates from UNESCO Member States to debate current issues. The conference aims to promote the Sustainable Development Agenda and educate participants about current international events, diplomacy and the scope of UNESCO work. The conference has quickly become an annual event anticipated by many young people in Mongolia, evidenced by ever increasing application numbers and social media traction each year.
