The Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports has confirmed that the teachers will receive the one-off bonus of MNT 516 thousand, being proposed by the government. The bonus is not only for the teachers but for everyone in the educational sector

Demonstrations and strikes of thousands of teachers have been going on in all 21 provinces for three months. Following ten days of negotiations with three ministries, the Mongolian Teachers’ Union has agreed to stop the strikes. The government and the teachers have agreed to sign a document by 20th of December.
