S.Batbold, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar met Li Jang Sung, president of Qingdao Construction Group and N.Batsumberel, director of Mongol Naadam Complex on 7th of November. During the meeting, construction of a new sports stadium was discussed.

Mayor Batbold noted that Ulaanbaatar, home to 1.3 million people plans to hold international sporting events. UB will host the Asian Children Sports Festival in 2020 and the Asian Youth Sports Festival in 2023. Therefore, Ulaanbaatar city needs to construct a new sports stadium with a capacity to  35 thousand seats.

The Qingdao Construction Group was established in 1952. The group is famous for having constructed the  ‘Bird’s Nest’ stadium for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
