A census of the unemployed in Ulaanbaatar was jointly conducted
by The Ministry of Social Welfare and Labor and the Administration Office of
Ulaanbaatar between June 10 and 25. It found 38,636 citizens are unemployed,
55.2% of whom are women. Of the total unemployed, 32.04% are between 26 and 35
years old, 25.9% between 36 and 45 and 24.05% between 18 and 25. Ulaanbaatar
Labor Office is working on plans to create 35,000 working places in
Ulaanbaatar.
