A London court will give its ruling on the case of B.Khurts, Head of Administration at the National Security Council, after two weeks. Khurts’s appeal against extradition to Germany was heard on June 23-24. Alun Jones appeared for Khurts and Sir E.Lauterfaht for the Mongolian Government. The Mongolian Ambassador to the UK, B.Altangerel, the Counsellor at the Embassy, N.Bataa, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, D.Tsogtbaatar attended the hearing.

Khurts was arrested at Heathrow airport in September on the strength of a long pending warrant against him on the charge of kidnapping a Mongolian citizen from France, driving him to Germany, drugging him and then taking him to Mongolia.
