The DP group held a special meeting, yesterday and at its conclusion announced that they will not take further part in Parliamentary work until differences over a draft law on the election system were resolved. The group chief, Ch.Saikhanbileg, said that three issues remained to be decided but the MPP was against considering DP proposals, putting their party interests over those of the state. The decision of the DP group was to protest against the attitude. DP MPs will not attend Parliament, and also any meeting of the Standing Committees.
Meetings of the Standing Committees on Economy and Security, and Foreign Policy were affected yesterday by the DP decision.
