The Government decided on Wednesday to grant extra wages to prison workers because of the tough conditions under which they have to work. The decision takes effect on January 1, 2012 and the money will come from the organizational budget.

All workers in special regime prisons, Prohibition Center 461 and Women’s Prison 407 will be paid 20 percent more than their salary. Those who work in detention centers, common regime prisons, Teenagers’ Prison 411, center for drug addicts, forced labor centers and prohibition centers in aimags will receive 10 percent more.
