The Chief of the State Specialized Inspecting Agency,
R.Sodkhuu, today told journalists that many drug stores sell medicines over the
counter and without proper medical prescription or state authorization. Also,
the price of many medicines has gone up by as much as 70% in the last one year.

Sodkhuu added that this increase adds to the rate of inflation though ordinary
people worry more about price of consumer goods and fuel. The Agency has sent a
note to the Authority for Fair Competition and Consumer Protection to take
necessary steps.
