G.Batkhuu and 16 other MPs including P.Altangerel, N.Batbayar and S.Byambatsogt
yesterday submitted a draft amendment to the law on the Human Development Fund.
They want the HDF allocation to herders, SME operators and the elderly to be
diverted toward repayment of their bank debts. This will secure SME equipment
and products against being seized by banks for failure to repay. The
MPs also feel such transfer of money will help reduce inflation, and strengthen
banks, apart from making life easier for the elderly in debt.
