Two agreements were signed at the
12^th meeting of the Mongolia-China commission for trade, economy,
science and technology in Ulaanbaatar yesterday. One was on general cooperation
in economy and technology, and the other on a soft loan of USD300 million from
China for building apartments in Ulaanbaatar and buying railway equipment. This
loan will come to the Ministry of Finance through the Exim Bank of China.

Deputy Prime Minister N.Enkhbold
headed the Mongolian team to the talks while Deputy Minister for Commerce Chen
Zyan led that of China. Delegates exchanged views on extending the two
countries’ cooperation in economy and trade. An agreement on another soft loan
of USD500 million from China to Mongolia will be signed in time to start using
the money from 2012.

The meeting also agreed to hold
further talks on cooperation between the National Emergency Commission of
Mongolia and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China during disasters.

The next meeting will be held in
Beijing in 2013.
