Minister for Foreign Affairs and
Trade G.Zandanshatar today ends a weeklong visit to Europe during which he took
part in the 10^th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) of Foreign Ministers in
Budapest, in the World Economic Forum of Europe and Central Asia in Vienna, and
also held talks with Hungarian and Austrian leaders. 

Zandanshatar signed a memorandum
of cooperation with his Greek counterpart, Dimitros Doutsas, before the meeting
of ASEM. The Ministers said their countries are far away from each other but
they can cooperate in the culture and economic sectors.

The ASEM meeting discussed
climate change, readiness for disasters, ways out of the economic crisis, the
global political situation, and challenges in economic, social and cultural
spheres. Zandanshatar addressed panel sessions and met with his counterparts
from 11 countries including India, Estonia, Greece, Germany and Australia. He
also held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi.
