Health Minister S.Lambaa will lead a team to Umnugobi aimag on
June 18 to work in hospitals of Khanbogd and Tsogttsetsii soums and to select
places where new regional diagnostic and medical centers are to be constructed.
These have become necessary because of the rise in population in these areas
following the development of mines at Oyutolgoi and Tavantolgoi.

Officials of the aimag want the diagnostic center and the
hospital to be separately located. If their demand is accepted, it will mean the
state would have to spend more and that is why the Minister wants to study the
situation on the ground.
