Officials of the City Administration yesterday discussed
plans for greening the city and reviewed their other work in the last three
weeks. Altogether MNT9 billion has been given to the nine districts but the
meeting felt more is needed to plant trees and grass. The state budget has
allocated MNT79 billion to the City Administration this year.

Ulaanbaatar General Manager Ch.Bat said MNT8.3 billion collected in fees during
the auto vehicle examination program that ended on June 1 will be deposited in
the road fund. The city has spent MNT140 million in cleaning up ger districts,
and 30% of large buses have been rested because of diesel shortage. Normal operations
are expected to resume this week once the fuel arrives.
