Representatives of some NGOs joined family members and friends of B.Khurts in a demonstration yesterday before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade to demand the release from a British prison of the Chief of Administration at the National Security Council. They wanted an immediate reply to a note they had submitted to the Ministry to be passed on to the British Junior Minister for Foreign Relations and International Development, Jeremy Brown, who is visiting Mongolia. They had also prepared a case against former British Ambassador William Dickson for engineering Khurts’s arrest.
State Secretary of the Ministry D.Tsogtbaatar met with the demonstrators and said that the Ministry would forward the note to the UK delegation. Two such demonstrations were previously held before the British Embassy.
