Microsoft Corporation CEO, Steve Ballmer, will actively
consider some general proposals for cooperation made by Prime Minister
S.Batbold in a letter to him. L.Bat-Olzii, an IT expert at the company who is
now in Mongolia to attend the state-level conference of the Information and
Communication sector, personally delivered the reply to Batbold on May 27.
The Premier expressed his hope and confidence that Mongolian youths studying
and working abroad, including 12 employed at Microsoft, will contribute to the
development of the country. Technological advances should be optimally utilized
in education and health sectors, and Batbold said this would require adequate
data security measures and permission to use licensed software programs. This
is where cooperation with Microsoft comes in.
