A South Korean team headed by the Director of the National Scientific Museum there, Li San Hi, visited Mongolia between May 5 and 9 at the invitation of President Ts.Elbegdorj. They called on the Chief of the President’s Office, D.Battulga, yesterday and discussed cooperation issues. Li has been made a member of the Scientific Policy Council of the President and received a certificate to this effect.

The visiting team also signed a memorandum of cooperation with managing officials of the Museum of Natural History to jointly organize international research conferences, forums, exhibitions and study tours for youth.

Li received an honorary doctorate from Ulaanbaatar University during his stay. In a speech at the ceremony, he told students how the frontiers of science were forever receding and how they could contribution to the development of Mongolia.
