The Human Rights Council is an inter-government body made up of 47 States responsible for strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights around the world. The Council was set up by the UN General Assembly on March 15, 2006 with the main purpose of addressing situations of human rights violations and to make recommendations on them. The council will evaluate how the Mongolian Government is doing in ensuring and protecting human rights.
