Our reporter asked B.Bolor, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Head of the working group monitoring the case against B.Khurts in Britain, about the status of his appeal against extradition to Germany.
When would the appeal be heard?
The British court has until May 18 to set a date, and we are still waiting.
Will you submit any new evidence when the appeal is heard?
There is nothing new to be submitted beyond what Khurts’s advocate has already done.
Was the British court’s decision to extradite Khurts to Germany guided by political and economical interests?
I don’t think so. The warrant against Khurts had been issued by the European Union, and Britain, as a member of the EU, had to arrest him.
