Prime Minister S.Batbold called on President of South Korea Lee Myung-bak on March 25. In their talks, Batbold expressed satisfaction that bilateral relations were getting stronger and newer areas of cooperation were emerging. He thanked the Government of South Korea for its cooperation in long term projects and grant of soft loans to support economic development and reduction of air pollution in Ulaanbaatar.
President Lee was happy that the presence of large Korean companies would help generate employment in Mongolia. He recalled his visit to Mongolia as Mayor of Seoul in 2005 and said he was looking forward to another visit planned for this year.
