The new British Ambassador, Ms. Thorhilda Mary Vivia Abbott-Watt yesterday presented her credentials to President Ts.Elbegdorj.

The President said relations between Mongolia and the UK were entering a new stage of pragmatic priorities, with foreign companies showing interest in investing in Mongolia’s mineral resources. He hoped economic and trade cooperation between the two countries will grow further and hoped more Mongolian students will study in the UK in the future. The London Stock Exchange has agreed to help restructure the Mongolian Stock Exchange.

He said the planned visit of the British Foreign Secretary William Hague would be very welcome.
