The Mongolian government released a USD 800 million bond on 26 October to repay the USD 400 million from the Chinggis bond. The repayment will be made in January 2018.
The new bond’s interest rate is two percent lower than the Chinggis and Khubilai bonds or 5.5 year at 5.625 percent.
Earlier this month, the Mongolian Finance Ministry organised a series of meetings to introduce the new bond to international investmentors in London, New-York and Boston.
