An earthquake of 5.0 magnitude was registered in a northern province of Mongolia. The epicenter of the quake was 4km from the Tushig soum of Selenge province, near the border with the Russian Republic of Buryatia at 01.00 on 19th of October. No casualties or damage have been reported.
However, the Mongolian Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics has warned that recent years have seen an increase in repeat earthquakes.
