A joint photo exhibition of photographers from Japan opened at the ‘Q’ Art Gallery on 11th of October. The exhibition is dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan. A total of 17 photographers including Fukui Norio, who has been taking pictures in Mongolia since 1997, are displaying their works. Fukui Norio is one of two photographers who have been regularly taking photos in Mongolia.
Fukui Norio first came to Mongolia in 1997. Since then, he visits the country frequently and takes photos of the environment, the way of life, ninja (illegal gold miners) and does documentary work. Fukui Norio received the top award in the Natori-Yonosuke photography competition for his photos of Mongolian street children in 2005.
