Ulaanbaatar City Council voted for a new chairman behind closed doors, earlier today (9th of October). S.Amarsaikhan was duly elected with 21 votes or 51.2 percent of 41 members defeating D.Bayarsaikhan (46.2 percent).

The previous chairman of the Ulaanbaatar City Council, Ts.Sandui, submitted his resignation letter during a meeting of the Citizens’ Representative Khural on 14th of September.
