The Mongolia-Russia Cooperation 2017 forum was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 3rd of October. Aimed at developing bi-lateral cooperation, the two sides exchanged views on a number of mutually beneficial cooperation issues.
During the forum, Ts.Munkh-Orgil, acting Foreign Minister noted that Mongolia needs to balance imports from Russia and exports. Trade between Mongolia and Russia has reached USD 705.3 million from January to July, 2017; an increase of 46.8 percent on the previous year.
The Mongolian government will cooperate with Russia in the following specific areas: energy, education and culture, transportation and railway transport, sign a Euarasian free trade agreement, and develop relations between Mongolian and Russian cities.
