The ‘Newspaper Forum-2017’ was held in Ulaanbaatar earlier today, 21st of September. During the event, editors and journalists discussed the problems facing Mongolia’s daily papers. An important part of the forum was the signing of the ‘Declaration of daily newspapers to support investigative journalism for fair social justice’ – the aim of which was strengthening the fourth pillar of the state.
In recent years, more people have been getting more of their news from the Internet than from newspapers. The Internet is affecting newsrooms and newspapers and is changing the way viewers and readers get news. As print sales decline, many traditional outlets are beefing up their online and mobile strategies.
