There has been a fire at one of the Mongolian capital’s power stations. The fire broke out at Thermal Power Plant IV located in Ulaanbaatar’s Bayangol district on Wednesday (13th of September). The Mongolian National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) received a call at 12.21 p.m. A total of 50 firefighters from five units were mobilised, rushed to the scene and extinguished the blaze immediately. There were no casualties, official sources said.
According to B.Dashdavee, an executive of Thermal Power Plant IV, the fire broke after the input source on a transformer exploded. The plant is now operating normally.
