P.Sergelen, Mongolia’s Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industries has announced that meat exports have been increasing. Two Mongolia companies have been exporting meat equivalent to two million livestock to Iran. Tehran has requested weekly meat imports of 4000 tonnes of red meat per week from Mongolia. However, Mongolia currently does not have the capacity for this.
Under another agreement, Mongolia recently exported two wagons of frozen meat to Vietnam. Our country currently has over 70 million livestock and exports meat to Russia and China. Recently, Saudi Arabia requested to import meat from Mongolia and two sides agreed to establish a joint meat plant.
