The 7th International Children’s Games (ICG) opened on Saturday (12th of August) on Ulaanbaatar’s Sukhbaatar Square. The competition will conclude on 17th of August. 

More than 1000 young athletes from the Russian Republic of Buryatia, China’s Inner Mongolia and Mongolia will visit the Nairamdal (friendship) international children’s camp for six days of competitions. This year’s Games include new events, such as, futsal, taekwondo, tennis and some team competitions.

The International Children’s Games were held in Ulaanbaatar in 2009 for the first time. In the first ICG, 300 young athletes competed in five different types of sport.
