According to statistics, Mongolia’s foreign trade turnover reached USD 4 billion during the period from January to May of 2017. As of the end of 2016, the total foreign turnover was USD 8.3 billion, 80 percent of total exports being mining products. In order to improve foreign trade, Mongolia is planning infrastructure development projects, to create new channels for transportation.  At the same time, Mongolia is implementing many projects to help diversify economy as well as focus on agricultural and food processing.
