Twenty-two young Mongolian officials will receive JDS scholarships to study on master and doctoral programmes in Japan this year. 

Since the programme was launched in Mongolia in 2001, a total of 280 young Mongolian officials have already studied in Japan. Today, they are working effectively in the fields of public services, the central bank, government agencies and are playing an active role in solving the practical problems related to social and economic development issues that their homeland is facing.

The purpose of the JDS programme is to support human resource development in countries that receive Japanese grant aid, targeting highly capable, young government officials and others who are expected to engage in formulating and implementing social and economic development plans and become future leaders in their countries.
