The Mongolian Cabinet discussed the second ballot of the presidential election during its regular meeting on 28^th of June. The General Election Commission Wednesday announced its decision to conduct the second ballot on 7^th of June, changing the date from 9^th of July. The Cabinet has approved a MNT 7.2 billion budget for the second ballot.

In addition, the Cabinet has changed the date of some regional Naadam celebrations in various soums (districts) and aimags (provinces) which coincide with the second round of the election.  

There was no outright winner in Mongolia’s presidential election on 26^th of June, forcing the country’s first ever second-round run-off between the two leading candidates, the country’s General Election Committee said on Tuesday.
