Globe International will hold an international conference on “Empowering rural business through quality information and ICT – Central Asia and Mongolia” in Ulaanbaatar from April 27 to 29. Paris-based Internews Europe is assisting with the arrangements while financial support will come from the EU Asia Invest Program.

The key themes will include rural development; pastoral development, market and business information; economic reporting; ICT and ICT for development; rural SMEs; herders; information access; rural business cooperation and development; and market access.

Some 80 observers and delegates from Mongolia, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Buryatia and Kalmykia in Russia, and Chinese Inner Mongolia in China are expected to attend the conference.
