Why do you want to contune with the MPRP name?
The way the name was changed violated the law. Thousands primary members were against the change but the managing officials doctored the voting results. Many at the General Assembly would have voted against the move but they were pressured and compelled by various means to toe the line. I have enough documents to show that the decision was taken in an undemocratic manner. Besides, how can a party have two names?
How do you react to the warning U.Khurelsukh, the Secretary-General of the MPP, yesterday gave you?
I am not a member of the MPP, so its Secretary-General has no right to give me any warning. Actually, such talks violates my human rights and people have taken it to understand that there is no democracy in his party.
Are you in the MPP group in Parliament?
I have announced that I have left and now I am an independent MP.
To whom did you announce your decision and how did the MPP group leader D.Lundeejantsan react?
I made an annoucement to the media. I am not a member of the MPP so I have no compulsion to inform anybody in that party.
Are the MPP managing officials putting any pressure on you?
There is constant pressure. TV channels and newspapers do not talk to me, clearly under instructions. This shows what political parties actually think of media freedom. The media are also siding with those in power, and nit those who speak the truth. If an MP feels like this, you can understand what common citizens think of the media. All state financed media are biased, in my opinion.
Have you taken legal opinion about your status?
I have asked our legal group to find out more about a political party changing its name.
