The Mongolian Judo Association and Olympic bronze medalist Kh.Tsagaanbaatar have accepted the International Judo Federation offer to make the wrestler its ambassador. A formal agreement now has to be signed under which Tsagaanbaatar will represent the IJF and its sponsors globally. Apart from his Olympic success, Tsagaanbaatar has won titles in the Asian Games, the East Asian Games, and in World Cup tournaments.
In another development, the IJF has decided to put the name of the competitor and his/her country on the back of the judoka to make identification easier for spectators. The names will be written in white letters, and the country’s name, written with letters 8 cm high, will be 1 cm below the name.
