T.Sainjargal, spokesman of General Police, has confirmed that last week’s raid on Metropolis night club leading to one man’s arrest was made after police had received information that drugs were sold and used there. He denied that all guests at the club had been searched and said police suspected only some people. The arrested man was in possession of banned substances, but not of any large amount.

When asked about the practice in the night club of dancers wearing police uniforms, Sainjargal said it is illegal to drink alcohol when one is in police uniform. The police will also take steps against an advertisement showing a uniformed policeman drinking Jalam Khar beer.
