Prime
Minister told a meeting of some 300 Mongolians in Vancouver on September 30
that he expected them, particularly students, to play an important role in the
development of Mongolia by using the skills and insights they acquire during
stay in an industrially developed country. He also spoke about the policy and
programs of the government to improve life in Mongolia.

Vancouver
was the last stop in Prime Minister S.Batbold’s just concluded visit to Canada.
He told a forum of investors there on October 1 that Canada could become the
model country for the development of Mongolia not only in mining, but also in
agriculture, public governance and education. He assured investors that the
Government and Parliament of Mongolia will work for protection of their
investment and urged them to consider setting up processing factories like
those in Canada so that Mongolia can come beyond exporting only raw minerals.
He also witnessed the signing of a memorandum between the Mongolian Ministry of
Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development and the Forestry
Innovation Investment (FII) of British Columbia State.
