A Mongolian documentary, “Zud, a Cold Symphony” is the
only Asian movie competing for final honors at the 19^th Hot Springs
festival in Arkansas, USA. The 30-minute film has been made by M. Bum for NTV.
It was shot entirely in Tuvshruulekh soum of Arkhangai aimag last March.  “My film shows the relationship between man
and nature and had no set screenplay. It is just life as we saw being lived by
a family trying to deal with a harsh winter,” he said. The film was well received
at the last Leipzig documentary film festival.
