A
34-year-old Mongolian woman in Naju in South Korea was murdered on Tuesday by
the Korean husband of another Mongolian woman. 
The husband of the murdered woman, also Korean, was injured when he
tried to protect his wife. The murderer has been arrested.

Korean police informed the Embassy of Mongolia about the murder and they passed
on the information to the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry
arranged for prompt visas for two members of the family of the murdered woman
and they left for South Korea yesterday evening.

On Tuesday, a 25-year-old Mongolian woman came to the house of the murdered
woman to escape being beaten up by her husband who was drunk. This was a habit
with the Korean man. The drunken husband came after his wife to this house, got
into an argument and then killed the woman by stabbing her repeatedly with a
knife he had on him. He also hit and stabbed the woman’s husband.
