Nine Mongolians are among
the world’s 1000 PeaceWomen in an exhibition now here after traveling in more
than 60 countries since 2005. The nine work for human rights, civil
communication, environment, education and health.

The traveling exhibition was
brought to Mongolia under the aegis of President Ts.Elbegdorj. It emphasizes
the role of women in bringing peace to the world on a very personal level. In a
message, the President noted women’s role in the global fight for human rights,
freedom, and environmental protection and stressed his belief that Mongolian
women could become the catalyst in Mongolia’s commitment to democracy.
