A meeting was 
jointly organized by the Vietnamese Chamber of Trade and Industry and
the Mongolian Embassy in Hanoi as part of the recently held 14^th
conference of the Mongolia-Vietnam Intra Government Commission for Trade,
Economy, Science and Technological Cooperation there. Mongolian officials
answered questions on the country’s foreign policy, investment environment, and
economic situation. They also distributed material on scope for investment in the  mining sector in Mongolia. 

Vietnamese participants were mostly interested in
procuring ingredients for traditional medicines, as well as in meat processing
and construction. There was a proposal to establish a Mongolia-Vietnam Business
Association and discussion of issues such as transportation and modes of
payment.
