The first Australian Ambassador to Mongolia, J.Langtry, presented his credentials to the President of Mongolia, Ts.Elbegdorj, on 22nd December.

President Elbegdorj said that the establishment of an embassy in Mongolia shows how much weight Australia paces on developing the relationship and co-operation between the two countries.

Ambassador Langtry said that co-operation between the two countries in the areas of economics, investment, education and mining is developing successfully, and that he will work in order to deepen the co-opration and relations of two countries further.

Also, the President has said, he believes that Australian high class representatives will come to ASEM-2016,and Presidental Administration and Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs are ready to support the operations of Australian Embassy. Two sides noted that, both countries will have parliamentary elections in 2016. Therefore, next year will be active year politically.

At the end of the meeting, President wished best career and healthiness to the Ambassador.
