The Mongolian Embassy in China has announced that the quarantine on Mongolian meat exports to China has been lifted. The quarantine was imposed by the Mongolian Ministry of Agriculture and the Chinese Inspection and Quarantine Service, due to previous livestock illness in the five western provinces of Uvs, Zavhan, Govi-Altai, Khuvsgul, and Bayankhongor. The announcement confirms that beef and lamb can now be exported from these five provinces, following a risk assessment by investigators of the Mongolian Ministry of Agriculture and the Chinese Inspection and Quarantine Services.
