On 2^nd December, the Political Structure Standing Committee dicussed and accepted the additional changes the “Referendum Law”. In order to change the constitution, a referendum is required. After the members of the standing committee expressed their opinions, voting took place.

-The majority of the standing committee accepted the proposal, which had been made by G.Uyanga MP, to include Mongolian citizens who are abroad. Relating to this, Ch.Sodnomtseren, director of the General Electoral Commission, said thataking votes from people who are abroad would be very time consuming.

-The offer, suggested by members Su.Batbold and L.Tsog to count the votes manually, was rejected by the Standing Committee.
