The 6^th non-regular session of the Council of City Representatives was held on 23^rd October. During the meeting, the remaining issues of the “Smart Ulaanbaatar” public transportation project, launched in August 2015 were resolved. As a result of this project, the payment on public transportation has largely switched to the U-smart card; in addition, the Council decided to further improve the frequency of the buses and, also, to make travel on a second bus, within 30 minutes of the first – free! This, however, will only be available for U-Smart Card holders. The new decision will be active from 1^st November.
