A museum of jasper and dedicated to Chinggis Khaan, has opened in Manchuria in Northern China. In history, Chinggis Khaan gave presents of jasper to his queen Borte-Ujin; he museum founders, therefore, decided to use this historical theme. The museum contains 400 objects made of jasper and weighing 100 tons at a cost of CNY 50 billion. The jasper treasures took three years to make. On average one jasper object took a week to make.
