“National Tree Planting Day” was held on 10^th October this year. Parliamentary Speaker Z.Enkhbold participated in the event. The Speaker made a statement in which he said: “It has been twelve years, since the President initiated “National Tree Planting Day”. The members of the Parliament have agreed to create a “Small Woodland Park” in the National Park. In the future, we need to take care of this park. The Ministry of Environment Green Development and Tourism is organizing this year’s “National Tree Planting Day” under the theme “Campaign to Plant a Million Trees”. Four specific activities have already been undertaken; 1.5 million trees have been planted across the country, this year. Currently, the world average green area per person is 12 square meters. The Mongolian average is 2.6 square meters”.
