The export of the finished-cashmere products has increased whilst the export of semi-finished goods has fallen in 2015. The cashmere products constitute 6% of total Mongolian exports. 1% of this is combed cashmere and the remaining 5% is washed cashmere. The Government is providing financial and tax incentives to the cashmere entrepreneurs, in order to further stimulate export revenue. For example, VAT of the final products has been zero-rated since August 2015. According to the National Statistical Office of Mongolia, the export of final-cashmere products has increased by 30%, reaching MNT 173.2 billion.
