The Cardiology and Angiography Department at the “State Third Hospital” has installed and successfully launched the first“resynchronization apparatus” in Mongolia. This is used in the case of chronic heart failure. This new method is named Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) and provides treatment with minimized less risks and good clinical results. The use of CRT is increasing in modern medical practice. In the past, cardiologists used CRT only when there was no alternative except heart transplantation. Nowadays, this therapy is being used more widely in cases of both of acute and chronic heart failure.
