The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE-PA) Mr Ilkka Kanerve has spoken to journalists. The press conference took place at the end of the “Autumn Meeting of the OSCE-PA”on 17th September. Mr. Kanerva said, “I am very glad for having visiting this country, which is trying hard to develop. Our management is to issue a resolution, which will be based on the 10 principles of the OSCE-PA, this will be then delivered to the governments of the member countries.
During the meeting, I have met the President of Mongolia and Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament. We have discussed a wide-range of political issues, for example, the crisis between the Russia and Ukraine, combating terrorism, human trafficking, democracy and freedom, civil society and also climate change. In our region (Europe) a particularly worrying issue is the refugee crisis.”
